Hysterosalpingogram
Hysterosalpingogram is an imaging procedure used to examine
the inner wall of the uterus and the fallopian tubes. This
study uses a technology called fluoroscopy to capture pictures
of the fallopian tubes on film as they are filling with a
contrast agent.
A Hysterosalpingogram is commonly used to reveal fallopian
tube blockage, evaluate the presence of polyps or fibroid
tumors, or to identify scar tissue. It is often used as part
of an infertility evaluation.
